Ukraine has extensive pipeline networks for oil and gas across the country. Much of the infrastructure was built in the 1970-80s and ongoing modernisation investment is critical for operational stability of Ukraine's energy system.
In 2018, Ukrtransgaz announced a 10-year gas infrastructure modernisation plan for 2018-27.
The long-term objective of this plan is to align the transportation system with European reliability, safety, and environmental standards. This includes pipeline and compressor station upgrades.
